Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Commissioning Engineer to oversee design review and commissioning of critical infrastructure for new construction and special projects.

You will coordinate multi-discipline teams, support vendors and contractors, and develop test scripts and commissioning documents. The role requires 4+ years in commissioning and engineering of electrical/mechanical systems for mission-critical facilities, with willingness to relocate and travel up to 50% annually.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities.
• 4+ years of commissioning experience.
• 5+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
• Experience in commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate design review and commissioning of Amazon critical infrastructure for new construction and special projects.
• Support vendors, contractors, and other teams involved in the construction and commissioning of various systems.
• Develop and review electrical and mechanical testing and commissioning documents.
• Ensure procedures comply with basis of design, specifications and safety requirements.
• Provide comprehensive weekly reporting on status, lessons learned, and program improvements.
