TEKsystems in Berwick, PA seeks a Contract Technical Support Technician I to provide first-line IT support and hardware troubleshooting in a data-center oriented role. The position emphasizes Cat5/Cat6 cabling, inventory tracking, and incident documentation.

The 17-week contract offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to advance into network and infrastructure operations, and to gain practical certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with Cat5 and Cat6 cabling
• Basic troubleshooting and technical support experience
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to document and track technical issues accurately

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end users via phone, email, and support requests
• Troubleshoot hardware, cabling, network, and connectivity issues
• Research and resolve technical problems while meeting service expectations
• Document, track, and update support tickets through resolution
• Assist with equipment installation, maintenance, and inventory tracking
• Support Cat5 and Cat6 cabling projects when required
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior support teams
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Follow established procedures and standard operating practices
• Work closely with operations, engineering, and support teams to resolve issues efficiently
