Job summary

Align is seeking a Data Center Cabling Superintendent to lead large cabling installs for AI and hyperscale data centers across the U.S. You will oversee all low-voltage cabling work, from planning to field execution, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will manage field teams of 50–100 technicians, coordinate with vendors, and travel nationwide (about 75% of the time) to active project sites, while driving standards and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in structured cabling, low-voltage, or fiber in large data centers.
• Experience managing field cabling crews and reading cabling drawings.
• Strong Excel skills for data vetting, port mapping, and tracking.
• Excellent organization and communication; able to work in live data centers.
• Willing to travel 75% to project sites.
• Hands-on testing with OLTS, OTDR, and VFL.

Responsibilities

• Review and oversee installation of cabling and support systems.
• Set and maintain cabling standards for multiple projects.
• Build and manage cabling tracking sheets.
• Supervise subcontractors and internal crews.
• Conduct on-site quality checks of terminations and tests.
• Monitor progress and communicate changes to leadership.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Enforce safety rules and lead toolbox talks.
• Report daily field progress and issues.
