Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Cable Technician to pull and route cabling in a live data center environment in Texas. You will label, document, rack and stack, and troubleshoot connectivity while coordinating with supervisors to meet project timelines.

The role requires OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain), 1–3+ years of cabling experience, structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber), and ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain immediately.
• 1–3+ years of hands-on cabling experience.
• Structured cabling experience (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber).
• Experience installing and testing copper and fiber cables.
• Ability to read structured cabling drawings and labeling standards.
• Comfortable working in live data center environments.
• Ladder work and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in large-scale data centers (Oracle, AWS, Google, Meta).

Responsibilities

• Pull and route cables throughout the facility.
• Label and document cabling accurately.
• Rack and stack network racks, panels, and related hardware.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and cabling issues.
• Follow OSHA and site safety guidelines, including PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors to meet daily production goals and project timelines.
