Job summary

Danta Technologies is seeking a hands-on Data Center Cable Management Technician in Nashville, onsite. The role focuses on organizing and documenting cable plant, improving airflow, and supporting server deployments across multiple facilities.

This six‑month contract offers travel across the U.S. with opportunities to transition to full time based on performance. Candidates should be able to lift 50 pounds and work 40 hours weekly, with some nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in enterprise data centers or structured cabling.
• Experience with copper and fiber cabling, patch panels, and cable management.
• Ability to read rack elevations and network diagrams.
• Experience using cable certification or testing tools is preferred.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and working in data center environments.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Organize, label, route, and secure copper and fiber cabling in data centers and IDF/MDF closets.
• Perform cable remediation, remove abandoned cabling, and improve airflow.
• Install cable management systems including ladder racks, vertical/horizontal managers, Velcro, patch panels, and rack accessories.
• Patch and test Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic connections.
• Install and rack servers, switches, firewalls, UPS equipment, and other infrastructure hardware.
• Assist with MAC moves, adds, and changes.
• Document rack layouts, cable paths, port assignments, and asset inventory.
• Maintain accurate labeling following company standards.
• Assist with network and server deployments during maintenance windows.
• Support data center cleanliness and organization initiatives.
• Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, and contractors.
• Follow all safety, security, and change management procedures.
