Job summary

SLB New Energy & Industrial seeks an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and deploy automation systems for data center infrastructure solutions. You will drive projects from concept through production ramp-up, coordinating with Manufacturing, Quality, IT, and external integrators to meet safety, quality, and cost targets.

The role requires strong PLC/robotics experience and hands-on troubleshooting. You will participate in FAT/SAT, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and company

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant automation industry experience for senior consideration.
• Experience with industrial automation systems and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with major robot and PLC platforms (FANUC/ABB/KUKA/Yaskawa; Allen-Bradley/Siemens).
• Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems such as FactoryTalk, WinCC.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation projects from concept through installation and ramp-up.
• Analyze processes to identify automation opportunities focusing on safety and efficiency.
• Develop concepts using robots, conveyors, fixtures, and machine vision.
• Define requirements, interfaces, and acceptance criteria for automation.
• Coordinate with integrators, suppliers, and internal teams across FAT/SAT and commissioning.
