Job description

Job Title: Data Center Analyst

Location: Charlotte, NC

Position: Fulltime, Multiple Openings

Responsibilities
  • Data Center Operations provides monitoring, problem escalation, job scheduling and tape management services for the various Data Centers.
  • The Data Center Operations team Support and monitor production environments 24x7x365.
  • Support daily tape library vaulting using Veritas software.
  • Manage daily job streams using Control/M to monitor applications and submit jobs.
  • Manage and monitor daily Unix applications using Unix commands.
  • Use Automated Operations tool (Control/O) to code rules to enhance application availability.
  • Perform level 1 problem determination.
  • Escalate production issues in a timely manner.
  • IPL Mainframe systems independently without supervision when requested.
  • Interface with Production Support and System Administration groups.
  • Work with Application Support teams to recover from batch and script failures.
  • Ensure all production issues are properly recorded in Service Now.
  • Use Service Now to generate customized reports.
  • Must have experience with Control-M Workload Automation or some other job scheduler and Service Now.
