Job Title: Data Architect/BI Engineer
Company: Pavement Preservation Group, Inc.
Location: Nashville, TN (in-office work location)
Reporting Relationship: Chief Financial Officer

Pavement Preservation Group is a leading provider of pavement preservation contracting services to public and private customers.

We are looking for a talented and driven Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our BI solutions (data warehouse, EPM tools, BI reporting, etc.), ensuring that data is accessible, reliable, and actionable for our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Develop and optimize data storage solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, and databases
  • Implement processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Implement and optimize data models to support BI reporting and analytics
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data warehouse and BI system performance, identifying and resolving issues as they arise
  • Maintain data and interfaces between EPM tools and ERP systems
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data processes, systems, and workflows
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our BI capabilities
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, BI Developer or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems
  • Experience with data warehousing and analytics platforms (eg. Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, etc.) and ETL processes
  • Expertise in common BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker)
  • Experience working with APIs
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
