Job Title: Data Architect - MDM/CDMP/CIMP

Location: Tampa, FL (Remote)

Position Summary:

Advancing data analytics and master data management (MDM) capabilities are at the core of our strategic vision to augment business decision-making by drawing meaningful insights from data assets. We are implementing an ERP roadmap to modernize and consolidate support vital business operations, understand company performance, and identify opportunities. Our plan is to strengthen data architecture, analytics, and MDM practices to harness the full value of data assets. This pivotal role is crucial for ensuring data quality, accuracy, security, and compliance. The role involves cultivating a culture of data stewardship and ownership across the enterprise, working with stakeholders to gather requirements, and designing and implementing standardized data governance policies and procedures to support data management and compliance initiatives.

Data Governance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data quality standards, policies, procedures, data ownership, access control, and data definitions.
  • Build trust and relationships with stakeholders while defining data governance requirements aligned with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized metadata catalog and data dictionary to document data assets, schemas, and lineage.
  • Define data access policies and classify assets based on sensitivity, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with privacy laws such as ITAR, CCPA, and GDPR.
  • Implement data security measures, encryption, and access controls to protect sensitive data.
  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams on data classification and retention policies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with the compliance team to maintain data in third-party applications within policies.
  • Lead efforts to cleanse data and maintain accuracy through quality control guidelines and reconciliation processes.
Data Architecture and Strategy
  • Work with business and IT teams to develop a data analytics and AI strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Lead data architecture, integration design, and migration projects.
  • Develop strategies to consolidate customer, product, inventory, and transactional data from various sources.
  • Expand the MDM and data analytics landscape roadmap.
Data Quality Management
  • Develop and implement data quality metrics, monitoring, assessments, and audit processes.
  • Create reports and reconciliation processes to improve data quality iteratively.
  • Proactively identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Ensure consistent data sources and calculations for business intelligence.
Data Lifecycle Management
  • Assist with managing data lifecycle processes, including creation, maintenance, archival, and deletion.
  • Classify and protect data based on sensitivity and value.
  • Coordinate with QA teams for data refreshes and strategies.
  • Eliminate duplicate data and prevent future duplication.
Qualifications

  • Proficient in data analytics, quality management, governance, lifecycle, integration, and modeling.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends and anomalies.

  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and compliance.

  • Experience with data management tools, profiling, quality, and integration tools.
  • Experience with ERP products like IFS, SAP, etc.
  • 10+ years in data architecture, engineering, stewardship, or similar roles.
  • 5+ years working with data lakes, Lambda architecture, and data modeling tools.
  • Certifications like CDMP or CIMP are preferred.
