Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior architectural lead to direct the design of banking application systems, databases, interfaces, and BI platforms. You will ensure enterprise standards, guide database and BI teams, and coordinate efforts for project implementations in a dynamic financial environment.

The role requires strong SQL/Oracle expertise, data warehousing experience, and a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Job description

• Lead the architecture of banking application systems, including data structures, user interfaces, and middleware
• Support databases, interfaces, and DW/BI systems associated with banking platforms and auxiliary applications
• Maintain enterprise-wide application design standards
• Provide technical leadership to database specialists and BI resources
• Analyze Fiserv Premier core banking application conditions, problems, products, and systems
• Produce reports and file extracts
• Support core system tables, interfaces, and system administration functions across banking and business applications
• Coordinate resources for product implementation and project management
• Collaborate with staff to meet user needs promptly
• Maintain audit trails for production changes and notify the Change Control Committee
• Respond to work-related communications in a timely manner
• Analyze database implementation methods for policy and regulatory compliance
• Maintain database integrity and security using industry best practices
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, employee feedback, development, goal-setting, accountability, motivation, and regulatory performance for the team

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience with database software, including SQL, Oracle, MS Reporting Services, SharePoint, ETL structures, and DB2 reporting development and working libraries
• 5–7 years of experience managing banking applications and creating queries
• 5–7 years of experience with SQL, Oracle, .NET data mining, development, and maintenance
• Working experience with iSeries, data warehouses, and BI tools
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical people
• Knowledge of the Fiserv core banking system is a plus
• Proficiency with database development and maintenance tools
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, evaluation, and problem-analysis skills
• Flexibility to work at any location within the City National Bank network and, if necessary, after hours
• Background in program analysis, development, and testing
• Understanding of contemporary hardware and software architectures, including database-performance capacity planning and utilization trending
• Proficiency with desktop and server operating systems and Microsoft and Oracle applications
• Bachelor's degree, technical certification (Microsoft or Oracle), or experience in computer technology, communications, or a related field
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
