Job summary

RegEd is seeking a Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of our cloud-native data platform serving 200+ clients in a multi-tenant SaaS environment. You will shape metadata-driven data integration using Databricks, Azure Data Lake Gen2, and Unity Catalog.

You will collaborate with data engineering, platform engineering, and product teams to translate business requirements into durable architectural patterns, govern data across a 30TB+ estate, and drive Azure Data Factory and Databricks

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field is required.
• 10+ years of experience in data science and development is required.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration techniques is required.
• Experience with Phyton, R, and SQL is required.
• Experience with Hadoop and Spark is preferred.
• Experience with cloud-based data solutions such as AWS and Azure is required.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and evolution of the cloud-native data platform serving 200+ clients in a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
• Lead the architecture of a metadata-driven data integration platform built on Databricks, Azure Data Lake Gen2, and Unity Catalog.
• Collaborate with data engineering, platform engineering, and product teams to design and deliver new features.
• Drive the data governance model, including Unity Catalog and Microsoft Purview, for a 30TB+ cloud data estate.
