Job summary

Merkle is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead data foundation design for enterprise customers migrating legacy Adobe solutions to modern platforms. You will architect end-to-end data models, ingestion pipelines, governance, and security across Analytics, Content, and Commerce domains within AEP.

The role requires 8+ years of architecture experience, advanced SQL, and hands-on AEP expertise. Strong communication and collaboration with Adobe teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on data architecture, data modeling, SQL development, and analytics platform experience with enterprise customers.
• Expert proficiency in crafting customer-centric database models across CRM, marketing, offline, and commerce data sources.
• Strong ability to translate complex data configurations into clear business requirements and technical documentation.
• Advanced SQL skills including window functions, complex joins, aggregations, and performance tuning for analytics workloads.
• Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) data ingestion, schema design, unified profiles, segmentation, and real-time activation workflows.
• Knowledge of identity resolution, data privacy frameworks, and consent management in multi-domain contexts.
• Proficiency in API-first integration patterns (REST, webhooks) and scripting (Python/Bash) for pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and ability to communicate with executives.

Responsibilities

• Provide deep experience to build data solutions across multiple Adobe products and cloud platforms.
• Engage with customers and Adobe teams to facilitate data discovery by evaluating systems and business processes.
• Analyze customer sources, data movement, data granularity, relationships, and formats.
• Unify disparate data to support digital marketing, content, and commerce use cases.
• Lead and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for multi-solution delivery.
• Define standards for data quality, governance, master data management, and data security.
