Job summary

IntellectFaces, Inc. is seeking a Data Architect to design and implement an enterprise-scale data lake and cloud data platform. This remote, contract role focuses on scalable, secure architectures and high-performance analytics.

You will work with Snowflake, S3, and modern data governance practices to deliver Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers, AI-enabled pipelines, and robust metadata management. Strong coordination with stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale Data Lake and Cloud Data Platform architectures.
• Strong expertise with Snowflake.
• Experience with Amazon S3 or other cloud object storage platforms.
• Hands-on experience with data integration tools such as Hevo, SSIS, Boomi.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications such as Salesforce.
• Strong understanding of structured and unstructured data management.
• Experience designing AI/ML-ready data pipelines.
• Knowledge of metadata management, data cataloguing, and data governance frameworks.
• Experience with data orchestration tools and workflow automation.
• Understanding of modern data lakehouse architecture and medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) data modelling.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current data architecture and propose scalable data lake strategy.
• Design enterprise data lake architecture for structured and unstructured data.
• Review and optimize data ingestion framework, Snowflake-centric.
• Define best practices for ingestion, orchestration, metadata management, and governance.
• Design AI-enabled data pipelines for analytics and automation.
• Implement data catalog and metadata management solutions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, high-performance data solutions.
• Provide architectural documentation and implementation recommendations.

Job Summary/ Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the current data architecture and recommend a scalable, future-ready data lake strategy.
• Design an enterprise data lake architecture that integrates structured and unstructured data.
• Review and optimise the existing data ingestion framework, which currently ingests primarily into Snowflake.
• Define best practices for data ingestion, orchestration, metadata management, and governance.
• Design intelligent (AI-enabled) data pipelines to support advanced analytics and automation.
• Recommend and implement technical data catalog and metadata management solutions.
• Define data orchestration strategies across multiple integration platforms.
• Develop architectural guidance for implementing Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers, with an initial focus on architecture and planning.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to establish scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.
• Provide architectural documentation, roadmaps, and implementation recommendations.

Required Skills & Experience
