Job summary

Coltech is seeking a Lead Data Architect to shape an enterprise-wide data platform in a fully remote role. You will design and develop enterprise‑wide data models within a Delta Lakehouse architecture, collaborating with data engineering, technical teams and senior stakeholders.

Key focus areas include data modelling, data warehousing, Delta Lake technology, and end‑to‑end data solution design. Strong SQL, governance, and Azure experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience across Data Architecture, Data Modelling or Database Design.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Delta Lake.
• Excellent understanding of enterprise data modelling.
• Strong SQL and database design experience.
• Experience with Azure (Data Lake, Synapse or Databricks).
• Experience translating requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Solid data governance and data management principles knowledge.

I’m currently working with a leading private equity firm that is looking for an experienced Lead Data Architect to play a key role in shaping their modern enterprise data architecture.

Location: Fully Remote

The Role

You’ll be responsible for designing and developing enterprise-wide data models within a modern Delta Lakehouse architecture, working closely with Data Engineering, technical teams and senior business stakeholders.

The role has a strong focus on:

• Data Modelling & Data Warehousing


• Delta Lake & Lakehouse Architecture


• Logical & Physical Data Models

We're looking for someone with:

• 7+ years of experience across Data Architecture, Data Modelling or Database Design


• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Delta Lake


• Excellent understanding of enterprise data modelling


• Strong SQL and database design experience


• Experience with Azure, ideally Azure Data Lake, Synapse or Databricks


• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions


• Strong understanding of data governance and data management principles

Experience with Data Vault, Collibra, Alation, Atlan, Cosmos DB, KQL, Power BI or Tableau would be advantageous.
