Job summary

Precision Technologies is seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team for a full-time W2 role. The candidate will define enterprise data architecture, model data structures, and drive modernization across cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).

Qualifications

• Proven track record in data architecture and engineering at enterprise scale.
• Experience designing data models and data platforms across warehouses/lakes/lakehouses.
• Strong SQL and programming in Python/PySpark for data processing.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead enterprise data architecture and technical strategy.
• Design scalable, secure and high-performance data platforms and solutions.
• Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Establish data architecture standards, principles and best practices.
• Lead cloud data modernization, migration and integration initiatives.
• Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners and Enterprise Architects.
• Evaluate technologies and recommend appropriate data platforms and architecture patterns.
• Identify performance, scalability, security and cost-optimization opportunities.
• Mentor Data Engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Ensure solutions align with business objectives, governance and enterprise architecture standards.

Required Technical Skills

• 13+ years of full-time professional experience in Data Architecture / Data Engineering
• Strong expertise in Data Architecture, Data Modeling & Enterprise Data Strategy
• Data Warehouse, Data Lake & Lakehouse Architecture
• Dimensional Modeling, Star/Snowflake Schema & Data Vault
• Strong SQL and database architecture experience
• Strong cloud experience with Azure / AWS / GCP
• Azure Data Factory, Databricks, ADLS, Microsoft Fabric or equivalent
• Python / PySpark and distributed data processing
• Real-time / streaming data using Kafka or similar technologies
• Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Catalog concepts

Preferred

• Experience in healthcare, financial services, insurance or other regulated industries is a plus.
