Job summary

TEKsystems seeks an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of enterprise data platforms for a large-scale modernization initiative. This 100% remote contract role requires EST business hours and a W2 arrangement.

Responsibilities include designing architectures, modeling data, governing data quality and security, and mentoring the team. The position is 2+ years in duration with a focus on scalable, secure data assets.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise data architectures.
• Deep expertise with Snowflake architecture, administration, optimization, and data platform design.
• Advanced SQL development and data analysis skills.
• Proven experience with data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), data transformations, enterprise data architecture, data governance, data security & privacy, and data warehousing/analytics platforms.
• Strong communication, presentation, and technical documentation skills.

• Design and maintain enterprise data architectures, standards, and models supporting analytics, reporting, and operational needs.
• Architect and optimize data solutions utilizing Snowflake and modern cloud technologies.
• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data platforms.
• Establish and promote best practices for data governance, data quality, lineage, metadata management, security, and privacy.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, data engineers, and analysts to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Lead architecture decisions related to data ingestion, integration, transformation, and consumption.
• Provide technical leadership on ELT frameworks, data transformation strategies, and integration patterns.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, data dictionaries, and technical design specifications.
• Support Agile delivery teams through architecture reviews, backlog refinement, and technical guidance.
• Mentor team members on data architecture and governance best practices.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of enterprise data platforms and solutions. This role will support a large-scale data modernization initiative, establishing scalable data architectures and enabling trusted, secure, and high-quality data assets across the organization.

This is a 100% remote opportunity with an anticipated 2+ year contract duration. Candidates must be able to work EST business hours and be employed on a W2 basis. No C2C, 1099, third-party candidates, or visa sponsorship/transfer candidates will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise data architectures, standards, and models supporting analytics, reporting, and operational needs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
