Job summary

BCore is seeking a Data Architect to join our Herndon, VA team, supporting mission-critical data engineering tasks in a TS/SCI environment. The role emphasizes data integration across diverse streams, data standards, and secure data management.

The ideal candidate will analyze complex networks and logs, shape data governance, and troubleshoot data feeds, working within government-grade security enclaves. This position requires a strong background in data engineering and scripting with Python.

Qualifications

• Minimum 11 years as a Data Engineer or related IT role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT/Engineering preferred.
• Experience integrating diverse data streams and managing data feeds.
• Knowledge of Splunk and scripting (Python, ShellScript, Ansible) is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

We are actively seeking Systems Engineers to perform as a Data Engineer with a minimum of 11 years' experience. Information Technology or Engineer Bachelor's or Master’s Degrees are preferred. Specific skills should include the following:

• Experience integrating diverse data streams
• Experience with data transfer tools (Ex: NiFi, Cribl, etc)
• Establishes data standards and acts as custodian of IT and service delivery data sets and streams
• Experience in analyzing complex networks and systems
• Experience in analyzing log data from various network components and operating systems
• Knowledge of complex environments involving shared networks and multiple security enclaves
• Systems Engineer with Data Engineer background
• Ability to manage and troubleshoot data feeds
• Splunk familiarization
• Python

Desired Qualifications:

• Security Development and Operations (SecDevOps)
• Hands on Splunk Experience and Certifications
• Scripting tools to include Python, ShellScript, or Ansible
• Cloud security controls and implementation
• Public, private and hybrid Cloud experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
• AWS Certified Security Specialty

What you can expect from us

• The expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $180,000 - 200,000. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements. This is not a guarantee.
