Graham Technologies is seeking an experienced Data Architect with a strong background in designing and implementing complex data solutions. This role will play a critical part in leading the development of enterprise data architectures and shaping long-term strategies that support our mission-critical initiatives.

Location: Remote work but needs to be close to Clarksburg, WV (must be within proximity for on-site meetings)

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and develop innovative solutions to manage and analyze complex data sets.
2. Lead the creation of enterprise data architectures aligned with business strategies.
3. Develop high-level conceptual and logical data models across systems and functions.
4. Establish and manage metadata governance processes to ensure data quality and accuracy.
5. Provide technical leadership to system and cross-functional teams.
6. Design and build both relational and non-relational databases.
7. Translate evolving business needs into scalable, long-term data architecture solutions.
8. Review data models and metadata repositories to optimize data access and management.

Required Skills

1. A bachelor's in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
2. Must have an active Secret Clearance
3. 10+ years of experience designing and implementing data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data mesh frameworks.
4. 5+ years of experience working with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for data storage, processing, and analytics.
5. 2+ years of experience leading and mentoring data engineering teams.
6. Proven expertise in both relational and non-relational database management.
7. Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

1. Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
2. Experience with metadata management tools and governance frameworks.
3. Familiarity with data modeling tools and enterprise architecture frameworks.
4. Knowledge of federal data security standards and compliance.
