Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Data Architect for a local government client to lead hands-on data architecture, Azure platform development, and database management. The role includes supporting ramp test data needs and collaborating across engineering teams to build scalable data solutions.

Power BI will be the primary visualization tool for stakeholder reporting, with a focus on enterprise‑wide digital engineering initiatives and data accessibility improvements. The position is based in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing Azure/AWS based data platforms.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and database design.
• Experience building data pipelines and solutions with Python or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Approximately 50% directly supporting DFAST initiatives through hands-on data architecture, Azure development, and DB management.
• About 25% supporting ramp test efforts and associated engineering data requirements.
• Remaining 25% collaborating with architects/engineering teams to enable scalable data solutions and enterprise‑wide digital engineering using Power BI for visualization.

A local government customer is seeking a Data Architect to join their team. Responsibilities consist of approximately 50% directly supporting DFAST initiatives through hands‑on data architecture, Azure platform development, and database management. Another 25% will support ramp test efforts and associated engineering data requirements. The remaining 25% will involve partnering with other architects and engineering teams across the organization to develop scalable solutions, improve data accessibility, and support enterprise‑wide digital engineering initiatives. Power BI will serve as a primary tool for data visualization and stakeholder reporting.

• Experience working with large engineering, scientific, or technical datasets
• Ability to obtain a clearance Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
• Active clearance
• Aerospace, aviation, research, or advanced manufacturing experience
• Experience building digital research, engineering, or aircraft design environments
