Job description

Technical / Functional Skills

• Must work on technology Cloud Modernization/Transformation program involving AWS Databricks.
• 12+ years in data architecture with at least 2 projects involving AWS Databricks.
• Strong experience in large-scale cloud data modernization programs.
• Strong experience in Data Architecture.
• Experience in AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Athena).
• Strong experience in Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog).
• Strong experience in Data modeling (Datawarehouse + Lakehouse).
• Experience in Integration architecture & governance frameworks.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Define target data architecture (Lakehouse/Data Platform) including ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption layers.
• Design scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance solutions on AWS.
• Establish data integration patterns and architecture standards.
• Drive data governance, data federation, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Lead POCs and architectural validations for critical requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solution design.
• Guide engineering teams on best practices and platform optimization.
• Define cutover strategy: Dual-run / shadowing approach, Zero-downtime migration, Rollback mechanisms.
• Ensure architecture meets high throughput, low latency, horizontal scalability, fault tolerance, and resiliency.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to migration complexity, dependency management, performance bottlenecks, and data integrity.
• Define contingency plans for rollbacks and failure scenarios to ensure production readiness across all waves.

Salary Range

$140,000 - $180,000 a year
