Avalore, LLC is seeking a Data Architect to design and govern the data landscape for the War Data Platform. You will establish the enterprise data model, set storage standards for data lakes, warehouses, and databases, and design ingestion and processing pipelines to support reliable data access.

The Data Architect is responsible for designing and governing the entire data ecosystem of the War Data Platform. This person will establish the enterprise data model, define standards for data storage (e.g., data lakes, warehouses, databases), and design the architecture for data ingestion, processing pipelines (ETL/ELT), and data access. They will work closely with the GRC and security teams to ensure data governance, data quality, and data protection policies are designed into the architecture from the start. The Data Architect's primary goal is to ensure that data on the WDP is findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR), enabling advanced analytics and AI/ML at scale.

We are actively seeking multiple levels: Junior: 0 - 3 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree Journeyman: 4 - 7 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree Senior: 8+ years of experience + Bachelor's Degree Good communication skills, self-starter mindset. Professional proficiency in English is required. Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Avalore will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment). Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Salary at Avalore is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combinaition of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. Salary estimates for this job range from $107,000 - $220,000.
