Job description

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Data Analytics and Visualization Analyst.

This role is vital within the CRA Governance Team, requiring technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective communication of complex ideas. The analyst will serve as a Subject Matter Expert for analytic reporting and visualization activities, focusing on BMO’s Community Benefits Plan (EMpower 2) and Line of Business compliance gap reporting for CRA exams. This position is within the Data Analytics and Reporting Team (DART) and can be performed remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design dashboards and analyses, selecting appropriate visualization and analytics tools.
2. Identify trends and patterns to provide insights and address business questions.
3. Collaborate with data professionals to develop scalable, automated analytics solutions.
4. Create reporting dashboards using data extraction, cleaning, and visualization techniques.
5. Translate business needs into technical specifications and improve existing visualization systems.
6. Develop data visualizations for large datasets to facilitate decision-making.
7. Document data flows, systems, and processes for better management.
8. Develop tools and training for reporting and self-serve analytics for non-analytical users.
9. Work primarily within BMO but may have enterprise-wide responsibilities.
10. Exercise judgment to diagnose and solve problems independently.
