Job summary

New Era Cap, LLC, headquartered in Buffalo, NY, seeks an IT Analyst (Data) to turn raw data into actionable insight. You will build dashboards in Power BI and Snowflake-based reports, collaborating with Data & Analytics and Enterprise Architecture to ensure accurate, well-modeled, and consistent data across the organization.

The role focuses on delivering reliable analytics, data quality, and scalable data models while supporting leadership with timely insights.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 4+ years building Power BI reports and dashboards.
Strong SQL skills and experience with Snowflake or equivalent cloud data warehouse.
Experience with Tableau is strongly preferred and data modeling proficiency.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, with Tableau support as needed.
Write and optimize SQL queries against Snowflake for reporting and analysis.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate questions into data models and visuals.
Develop semantic layers, data models, and DAX measures to support self-service analytics.
Monitor data quality and pipeline health across Snowflake sources.
Document data pipelines and maintain data dictionaries and report definitions.
Tune Snowflake performance, manage warehouse usage, and support cost optimization.
Provide ad hoc analysis to support leadership decisions.
Migrate legacy reports to Power BI and Snowflake; stay current on platform capabilities.
