Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a skilled Analytics & Data Engineer to own the data lifecycle from Zoho ingestion to insights. You will architect pipelines to Snowflake and deliver a high-performance OLAP environment for Power BI.

Responsibilities include ETL/ELT orchestration, Snowflake modeling, Fabric integration, and governance with security controls. On-site role in Lisle, IL, requiring 2-3 years in data engineering/analytics.

Qualifications

Advanced proficiency in Snowflake and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with BI ecosystems including Power BI and Fabric.
Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformations.
Experience integrating with REST APIs (Zoho or similar).
Familiarity with dbt and orchestration tools like Airflow or Fabric Data Factory.

Responsibilities

Pipeline Orchestration: Design and manage ETL/ELT pipelines to extract data from Zoho APIs and load it into Snowflake.
Snowflake Modeling: Architect scalable data structures in Snowflake using Star Schema or Data Vault methodologies for fast querying.
Fabric Integration: Integrate Snowflake with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake) for a unified data layer.
OLAP Development: Build semantic models within Fabric/Power BI ensuring sub-second report performance.
Performance Tuning: Optimize Snowflake compute usage and Power BI DAX queries to reduce latency and costs.
Data Governance: Implement Row-Level and Object-Level Security across the stack.
Sandbox Strategy: Support change management in lower environments.
