The Data Analytics Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and document business requirements for Consumer financial products including Cards, Mortgage, Deposits and loans, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory needs.
  2. Lead and support CCAR, BASEL, Liquidity, Prudential and Capital reporting initiatives, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.
  3. Collaborate with cross functional teams to enhance Data governance, automation, and reporting processes leveraging GenAI and Cloud platforms where applicable.
  4. Drive process improvements and technology adoption to optimize financial data provisioning and reporting efficiency.
  5. Contributes to data analytics standards around which others will operate.
  6. Employs developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.
  7. Resolves occasionally complex and highly variable issues.
  8. Produces detailed analysis of issues where the best course of action is not evident from the information available, but actions must be recommended/ taken.
  9. Responsible for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of data science projects along with short-term planning resource planning.
  10. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years experience using tools for statistical modeling of large data sets
  • Ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem solving techniques
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in Finance / Banking domain (On Retail products like Deposits, Mortgage, Cards)

Experience in Data analysis / Data engineering and Big Data. Relational database experience with strong understanding of complex SQLs, performance tuning, stored procedures. Experience in any ETL tool such as Datastage, Abinitio, Hive, Hadoop etc. Knowledge of Regulatory reports such as CCAR, Liquidity, etc.

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
