Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute seeks a senior FP&A professional to lead budgeting, forecasting and analytics across a large, matrixed organization. You will develop financial models, deliver executive-ready reports, and drive strategic decisions with leadership.

This role emphasizes data governance, standardized reporting, automation, and cross-functional collaboration with finance, operations, and practice leadership to improve performance and visibility into key drivers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS or similar) in finance, analytics or related field preferred.
• CPA or CFA a plus.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial modeling, or analytics, with a track record of leading budgeting initiatives.
• Excellent financial modeling & problem-solving skills.
• Executive presence and experience presenting to leadership.
• Ability to provide strategic recommendations and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Budget & Forecasting Support: Develop models and frameworks for budgets/forecasts; create transparent reporting.

Primary Tasks And Responsibilities

• Budget & Forecasting Support
  • Support and enable the models and analytical frameworks for building budgets & forecasts.
  • Develop and refine transparent, repeatable reporting and models that explain performance drivers and support executive understanding of changes over time.
• Executive Reporting and Decision Support
  • Deliver concise, executive-ready reporting packages that summarize performance, explain results, and highlight risks and opportunities.
  • Build "so what" insights that help leadership understand what is changing, why it matters, and what actions may improve outcomes.
  • Tailor analyses for different leadership audiences.
• Analytical and Strategic Support
  • Support the full range of analytical, reporting, and strategic needs for FCS.
  • Contribute to ad hoc analyses, business cases, profitability reviews, strategic planning efforts, and leadership requests.
  • Help prioritize opportunities to improve financial performance and strengthen visibility into key business drivers.
• Data Governance, Standardized Reporting, and Automation
  • Own data governance and standardized reporting logic as the primary mandate, establishing a single, trusted source for financial data and reporting.
  • Build and enhance repeatable reporting tools and dashboards that provide timely and accurate performance visibility.
  • Improve efficiency through automation, standardized reporting logic, and disciplined data governance.
  • Ensure outputs are auditable, scalable, and easy for stakeholders to interpret.
• Continuous Improvement and Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner across finance, operations, and practice leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and stronger performance management.
  • Recommend enhancements to tools, reporting routines, and analytics approaches that improve visibility, alignment, and decision support over time.

Education/Certifications & Licenses

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS or similar) in finance, analytics or related field preferred.

Experience

• 6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial modeling, or analytics, with a demonstrated track record of leading complex forecasting and budgeting initiatives in a large, matrixed organization.
• Excellent financial modeling & problem-solving skills.

• Ability to provide strategic recommendations and influence stakeholders to make decisions.

Core Competencies, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Deep expertise in advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and AI/ML applications for forecasting. Mastery of Excel, Sigma/Power BI/Tableau, and financial systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
• Financial systems experience with ability to reconcile information from multiple sources.
• Motivated self-starter that is well organized, dependable, efficient and results-oriented.
• Strong time management and organization skills with flexibility to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
