Job summary

BHE GT&S is offering a summer internship for a rising sophomore or junior majoring in Computer Science at our White Oaks Office in Bridgeport, WV. You will work with the Compression Services team on data science and cloud analytics projects.

Responsibilities include prototyping solutions, building analytics models in Python, querying data with SQL, and creating dashboards in Power BI to convey insights that support infrastructure reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be a college student, sophomore or higher standing, enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or higher program.
• Experience using Python to develop machine learning or statistical models.
• Taken coursework in data analytics, machine learning, statistics, or computational mathematics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify partner teams' key issues, prototype solutions, and help solve business problems using data science.
• Collaborate with internal groups to define problems, gather requirements, and design analytics solutions.
• Develop advanced analytics models (statistical, mathematical, or computational) using Python.
• Create data visualizations and dashboards in Power BI to present results.
