Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a Data Analyst Intern for Summer 2027 in New York City. The role sits within the Data Management team and supports data insights, engineering, and transformation strategies across consumer and professional information units.

This 10-week program offers mentorship, professional development, and exposure to internal data lakes, dashboards, and visualization tools. The position is hybrid and based in the NYC office.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward your Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject (Statistics, Engineering, Economics, etc.).
• Exposure to data analysis and problem solving with large amounts of diverse data.
• Basic fluency in SQL, Python or knowledge of relational databases and methods for efficiently retrieving data.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with advanced formulas and functions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to present analyses clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with customer-facing report deliveries, both existing and ad hoc requests.
• Interpret trends from data and explain dynamics to stakeholders.
• Develop daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly dashboards using approved tools.
• Apply quantitative analysis and data exploration to understand product usage patterns.
• Support end-to-end data pipelines, analyses, models, and visualizations.
