Job summary

Stripe, Inc. in Chicago invites a Data Science Intern to tackle data-driven projects across our stack. You’ll own problems end to end with mentor support, collaborating with data analysts and scientists to build models, dashboards, and data products that drive business decisions.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a quantitative degree, have SQL experience, and can apply AI tools to accelerate development. Strong communication with multidisciplinary teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a quantitative Bachelor's or Master's degree program with expected graduation in December 2027 or spring/summer 2028.
• Experience with SQL.
• Proficiency with AI tools to accelerate model development, analysis, and coding.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data and run experiments to drive impact.
• Ensure that models, data products, and insights support decision-making and growth.
• Create metrics, reports, and dashboards to inform and run the business.
• Extend Stripe’s metrics semantic layer.
• Build new data assets and improve existing data assets to support decision-making, products, and business processes.
• Assess the impact of decisions, product launches, and improvements using business analytics and A/B testing.
• Learn quickly by engaging with mentors and teammates, and communicate status clearly.
• Present work to the Data Science team, partner teams, and fellow interns.
