Data & Analytics Governance Associate - AI Governance Program Support

Job Description

This role provides programmatic support including tracking policy implementation, governance actions, and compliance activities. It involves working closely with various teams such as Enterprise Security, Privacy & Compliance, Legal, Vendor Management, and Training due to the interdisciplinary nature of AI/ML.

What You Will Do
  1. Assist the Principal in tracking AI/ML legislation, policies, regulations, and industry standards, and develop implementation plans.
  2. Support the establishment and execution of BCNC’s AI/ML governance and risk management frameworks, leading related tasks to completion.
  3. Perform risk evaluations of AI/ML activities, document deficiencies, monitor mitigations, and report on program metrics.
  4. Track vendor actions related to AI/ML, including contract language issues and assessment results, ensuring timely completion by SMEs.
  5. Help establish notification processes as required by policies and regulations, monitor these processes, and report metrics.
  6. Develop AI/ML governance and compliance training content and integrate it into existing company-wide training programs.
  7. Create and maintain a website or collaboration space explaining AI/ML governance rules, processes, and FAQs.
  8. Support governance forums by preparing agendas, tracking action items, and recording minutes.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience, or 2+ years in lieu of a degree
Preferred Experience
  • Ability to interpret documents and identify affected areas
  • Experience supporting governance bodies and taking minutes
  • Skill in breaking down policies into actionable items
  • Experience creating new processes
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization
  • Familiarity with AI topics like Machine Learning, Generative AI, LLMs
  • Ability to structure work in a dynamic environment with leadership oversight
  • Experience managing cross-disciplinary programs, including metrics and communication
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, our compensation package reflects market rates and includes a base salary, annual incentive bonus, 401(k) match, PTO, health benefits, and wellness programs. The typical starting salary is near the middle of the range listed.

Range: $83,620.00 - $133,566.00
