Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an experienced Data Analytics Engineer IV to design, build, and support scalable data platforms, enterprise pipelines, and analytics solutions for Power Delivery. The role involves Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Kafka, APIs, Power Platform, OutSystems, and cloud-based lakehouse technologies to deliver trusted, governed data products.

You will collaborate with business users, analysts, and technology teams to implement CI/CD practices and optimize performance and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 3–7 years of data engineering/analytics experience.
• Experience building enterprise data pipelines and cloud-based integrations.
• Strong experience in ETL/ELT, data orchestration, warehousing, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures.
• Hands-on Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, APIs, Kafka, CDC, SQL Server.
• Experience with GitHub and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Platform, or OutSystems.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Develop ingestion frameworks for varied data types including streaming data.
• Create Databricks notebooks, workflows, and reusable data products.
• Ingest data via Azure Data Factory, Kafka, CDC, APIs, files, and databases.
• Build Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers within the Databricks Lakehouse.
• Develop with PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, SQL, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog.
• Implement data-quality checks, monitoring, lineage, and metadata.
• Optimize lakehouse performance, scalability, and cloud costs.
• Build business applications using Power Apps/Power Platform/OutSystems.
• Integrate Databricks data products with business workflows and apps.
• Support CI/CD with GitHub and Azure DevOps.
• Assist architecture reviews, governance, security, and documentation.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, developers, and tech teams.
