Job summary

SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Data/Analytics Engineer to join our team supporting a federal customer. This remote role involves engineering data pipelines, models, quality controls, and analytics capabilities to transform operation, security, and assessment data into reliable information for automation and decision support.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of data engineering experience, strong SQL and programming skills, and a track record of delivering secure, scalable data solutions in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a data-related field with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience building data pipelines, transformations, models, analytics, or reporting in enterprise or cloud environments
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one data engineering programming/scripting language
• Experience with data quality, lineage, access controls, automated testing, and API/operational integration
• Ability to obtain a 6c Public Trust; Secret clearance preferred; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Identify authoritative data sources and define ingestion, transformation, storage, access, retention, and quality requirements
• Develop automated data pipelines and reusable data services supporting workflow, security, ATO, and automation
• Design data models, schemas, mappings, validation rules, lineage, metadata, and data-quality controls
• Create analytics datasets, metrics, dashboards, and reporting components exposing status, trends, and decision-support information
• Integrate data capabilities with APIs, customer repositories, approved cloud services, and DevSecOps workflows
• Apply access controls, logging, encryption, and other security requirements in collaboration with security personnel
• Automate testing and monitoring of data pipelines and document designs and data definitions

SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Data/Analytics Engineer to join our team supporting a federal customer. This position is contingent on contract win.

This person engineers data pipelines, models, quality controls, and analytics capabilities that transform customer operational, development, security, and assessment data into reliable information for automation, monitoring, and decision support.

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Automate testing and monitoring of data pipelines and document designs, dependencies, operating procedures, and data definitions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Engineering, or related field; 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing data pipelines, transformations, models, analytics, or reporting capabilities in enterprise or cloud environments.
• Proficiency with SQL and at least one programming/scripting language used for data engineering.
• Experience with data quality, lineage, access controls, automated testing, and integration with APIs or operational systems.
• Ability to obtain a 6c Public Trust. At least an active Secret clearance is highly preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation

Salary Range: TBD

The SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only. It represents an estimated range for this position and is just one piece of our total compensation package.

Salary at SkyePoint is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work schedule, the candidate's combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, market data and business considerations.
