Job summary

DHL Network Operations (USA), Inc. is offering a Data Analytics & Data Catalog Intern position within the Service Quality team at the CVG Hub in Erlanger, Kentucky.

The role focuses on developing Power BI reporting and helping establish the Local Data Catalog as the data lake comes online. Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in data analytics or related fields, you will also gain experience in data governance, metadata management and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Working knowledge of Power BI; Power Query and DAX desirable.
• Foundational SQL and relational data knowledge; Python or scripting is a plus.
• Proficient with Excel and able to profile datasets.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Interest in data governance, metadata, lineage and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, cleanse, validate and reconcile operational data for reporting.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Gather and document business requirements, definitions and criteria with stakeholders.
• Support testing, issue resolution and performance improvements for analytics.
• Inventory data assets and document their purpose, source and refresh cadence.
• Establish initial Local Data Catalog content and classifications.
• Apply naming, metadata and classification standards for discoverability.
• Maintain documentation for datasets, transformations and reports.
• Communicate findings and progress to technical and non-technical partners.
