Job summary

The North Carolina Office of the State Auditor seeks an Applications Systems Analyst II to join the Data Analytics Division. You will lead discovery, translate business needs into actionable technical plans, design reliable data and AI-enabled solutions, and guide delivery across stakeholders.

Responsibilities include scripting, integration, testing, deployment, and on-going support; creating documentation, runbooks, and training materials; and prioritizing multiple projects while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT related field is required.
• 2+ years of experience in business application consulting or development preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery activities to understand business problems, processes, systems, constraints, stakeholders, and outcomes.
• Design, configure, script, integrate, test, deploy, and support reliable applications, automations, data solutions, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Independently organize and prioritize multiple projects, balancing urgent needs with long-term objectives.
• Create and maintain technical, functional, and operational documentation including requirements, solution designs, workflow diagrams, data definitions, test plans, runbooks and SOPs.
