Job summary

Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a Data Analyst within Apex Tax & Cost Basis to analyze data processes, drive improvements, and deliver data-driven insights. You will work across the Tax & Cost Basis teams to enhance data quality, reporting, and automation, supporting faster, more reliable decision-making.

The role emphasizes strong SQL skills, analytical thinking, and collaboration with Product, Operations, and Development in a fast-paced, evolving fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in data analysis.
• Advanced SQL skills required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Understanding of financial services, especially tax reporting and cost basis, is a plus.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a DataAnalyst within Apex Tax & Cost Basis, you will be responsible for analyzing data processes, solving complex problems, documenting procedures, ensuring data quality, and contributing to the improvement and automation of workflows. You will play a critical role in enhancing the team's efficiency and delivering data-driven insights.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced SQL and Claude AI skills to support the Tax & Cost Basis Operation teams.
• Evaluate data flows to identify areas for improvement and assist in the development and implementation of solutions.
• Ensure that solutions align with business needs and requirements.
• Analyze data trends and prepare reports with actionable recommendations for management.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting to measure performance and support business decisions.
• Conduct software and data quality testing, ensuring end-to-end processes achieve the desired outcomes.
• Update and implement written procedures for operational tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, and Development) to address data-related needs.
• Contribute to the development of automated workflows to streamline processes and reduce manual interventions.

Experience and Attributes:

• 1-3 years of experience in data analysis.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Exceptional analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented problem solver.
• Ability to adapt on-the-fly in a rapidly changing environment.

Salary Range

$66,000-$82,500

The annual base salary range for this position is noted above. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
