We are seeking a Data Analyst, Sustainability for the FIFA World Cup 2026, to support initiatives promoting environmental sustainability and social responsibility within the tournament’s operations and legacy. This analytical role involves cross-functional coordination to collect data and generate analyses to enhance environmental and social performance for FWC26, ensuring the event's legacy. The analyst will employ innovative approaches to data understanding and sharing insights with key stakeholders, ensuring the event meets high ethical standards regarding sustainability.
Reporting to the VP, Sustainability – FIFA World Cup 2026, you will collaborate with local and international partners, governmental organizations, and internal departments to meet sustainability goals. This is a full-time contractor position, extending until September 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sustainability Strategy Support and Execution: Support the implementation of sustainability strategies aligned with FIFA's global environmental goals and host city priorities. Identify data sources, analyze data, develop event-specific metrics, and recommend opportunities to meet environmental and social goals. Conduct research on themes related to FWC26 hospitality environmental and social goals, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Manage data collection, develop dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate insights, monitor progress, and report regularly to On Location leadership, FIFA’s executive committee, sponsors, and other stakeholders. Develop detailed post-tournament sustainability reports to guide future events.
  • Legacy Planning: Develop metrics and insights to drive performance for FWC26 and future events, measuring long-term sustainability impacts.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Environmental Science, or a related field (strongly preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data management, or related fields, with a proven record of working with large datasets, creating insights, and developing reports and dashboards.
  • Experience in emissions calculations and lifecycle assessment (LCA) is preferred but not required.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in managing and presenting structured data and insights from diverse sources.
  • Ability to apply frameworks like GHG Protocol and LCA methodology to projects.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and have extensive travel flexibility.

Note: The hiring range for this position is $60,406 to $75,000 annually, based on location, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include competitive rewards, incentives, and comprehensive health and retirement plans.
