Job summary

CBRE seeks a Data Analyst in the Washington, DC area to perform data-driven analyses ensuring business conclusions are well-supported. You will develop queries, dashboards, and data models to improve forecasting and BI offerings.

The role requires SQL, Python, and data visualization expertise, with 1–4 years of experience. You’ll collaborate with an agile team and advance standardized processes and reporting workstreams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• In-depth experience with SQL, data visualization tools, ETL pipelines, and database management systems.
• Strong programming skills, with experience in Python, for data analysis and evaluation tasks.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Use SQL and other scripting languages to develop and maintain complex queries that pull and curate data from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain data dashboards and assets including scripts, tables, workflows, and supporting processes.
• Apply fundamental data structures and algorithms to solve problems.
• Define basic data requirements and gather information using judgment and statistical tests.
• Use programming and evaluation tools (e.g. Python) to plan models and extract insights.
• Apply modeling and optimization methods to improve business performance.
• Develop and maintain data models, data automation systems, low-code solutions, and reporting systems and performance metrics support.
• Develop ad-hoc reporting based on review of existing data sources.
• Present a detailed 'data story' to a business line with rigor and judgment.
• Confirm the quality and integrity of existing data sources.
• Collaborate with agile team to enhance processes and programs.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.
