Overview and ResponsibilitiesSummary We are seeking a dedicated Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for acting as primary internal consultant to management in helping to understand the business impact of decisions. This role provides analysis and recommendations on performance improvement measures that can allow the business to be run more efficiently and/or effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compile multiple reports into concise and comprehensive Business Reviews
  • Ensure there is a back-up skill set, or redundancy for each business critical report to accommodate PTO and open positions without impact on the business
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Leverage system and reporting tools to provide meaningful analyses and automate reports
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Prepare and present key performance indicators (KPIs) on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Provide training and guidance within the team
  • Responsible for oversight of reporting and analyzed data to ensure accuracy of what is provided to management
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of the Data Analysts within each department
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QualificationsEmployment is contingent on

  • Background investigation
  • Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field required
  • One to three years of previous experience required
  • Experience with reporting and systems software (i.e., data warehouses)
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel & Access; ACL, Lawson, and Crystal Reports preferred

  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written, with employees and upper management to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner
  • Interpret a variety of instructions in a variety of communication mediums
  • Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
