Job summary

Milwaukee Succeeds seeks a Data Analyst to join our Information/Technology team. You will help manage our master data, develop reports, and troubleshoot data issues to support program decisions.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of data analytics experience, strong Excel and BI tool skills, and a meticulous eye for detail. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to turn data into actionable insights and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 1-3 years of work experience as a data analyst.
• Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms.
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
• Experience with Excel and BI tools.
• Experience handling large data sets and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Manage master data sets, including creation, updates, and deletion.
• Provide quality assurance of imported data.
• Process confidential data and information according to guidelines.
• Develop and analyze data from multiple data sources and provide detailed analysis in a comprehensive way to team and all stakeholders.
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
• Determine the meaning of data and explain how various teams and stakeholders can leverage it to improve processes.
• Create statistical models that depict agency-wide trends.
• Perform tests and validation of data sets.
• Manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources and metadata.
• Support employees in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
• Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
• Assist with testing and implementing new or upgraded software and assist with strategic decisions on new systems.
• Generate reports from single or multiple systems.
• Troubleshoot reporting database environment and reports.
• Assist with training end users on new reports and dashboards.
