Job summary

LL Global, Inc. is seeking a currently enrolled college student to join the Research Data Services department as a Data Analyst Intern.

This temporary, part-time hybrid internship offers hands-on experience while you complete your degree. You will work with data analysts on data exploration, validation, editing, analysis, and visualization, building dashboards in Tableau, and developing Python/R programs to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program (junior or senior year) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related STEM field.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
• Available to work a part‑time schedule throughout the internship period.
• Basic knowledge of programming concepts, statistical measures, and techniques.
• Basic knowledge of R or Python.
• Experience in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of Excel.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain interactive dashboards (Tableau) and data visualizations.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a currently enrolled college or university student to join the Research Data Services department as a Data Analyst Intern. This is a temporary, part-time hybrid internship designed to provide hands‑on professional experience while completing your degree. This position is not a regular full‑time opportunity. In this role, you will work closely with LIMRA’s data analysts and researchers on data exploration, validation, editing, analysis, and visualization. Responsibilities include understanding the business requirements of each project, selecting the appropriate analytical tools, and applying the established best practices to your work. In addition, you may act as a liaison to researchers to provide production support for various benchmark studies, including maintaining various research databases and visualization dashboards. This position is ideal for you if you're interested in furthering your technical skills and working with industry thought leaders, data experts, and cutting‑edge technologies. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to do the following:

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources.
• Build and maintain robust programs in R or Python to streamline manual data processes.
• Perform data validation and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Build and improve interactive dashboards in Tableau.
• Serve as technical support responsible for ad hoc data requests.
• Perform other analytical duties as needed.

What Do You Need To Succeed?

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program (junior or senior year) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related STEM field.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
• Available to work a part‑time schedule throughout the internship period.
• Basic knowledge of programming concepts, statistical measures, and techniques.
• Basic knowledge of R or Python.
