Job summary

Virginia Peninsula Foodbank is seeking a Data Analyst to support its mission through research, data collection, analysis, and program evaluation. This onsite role in Hampton, VA helps strengthen a unified client data system and enables partner agencies to use client intake and data tools to improve data quality and generate actionable insights.

The Data Analyst supports program performance by planning and delivering research and evaluation work end to end, from development through completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in project management, program evaluation, research methods, data analysis, or related area.
• Experience with databases, data management, or data analytics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the Foodbank’s client data system across programs and partner agencies.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies to improve client data collection, accuracy, and utilization.
• Train and support partner agencies in the use of client intake and data systems.
• Plan and manage research, analysis, and evaluation projects from development through completion.
• Analyze program and partner data to identify trends, measure outcomes, and provide actionable insights.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that communicate findings effectively to internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate with internal teams and community partners on research and evaluation initiatives.
