Job summary

New Jersey Innovation Institute seeks a data analyst to design analytics and visualization solutions. You will obtain and analyze data from multiple sources to answer questions posed by internal or external customers and develop reports per requirements.

You will compile insights, create dashboards, and present concise recommendations to guide decisions. A Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of BI/data manipulation experience are required; the role offers hybrid onsite work in Newark.

• Design and deploy analytics and visualization solutions.
• Obtain and analyze raw data from multiple disparate sources to perform core job duties and to answer questions posed by internal or external customers.
• Develop reports and analytics according to requestor requirements.
• Develop concise summaries of analytical exercises and clearly define recommendations and next steps
• Ability to write SQL queries to analyze and extract data from database and warehouse.
• Ability to create flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate how the data will be modeled, sourced, transformed, stored, and presented.
• Compile and analyze data, interpret trends, fluctuations, and other changes.
• Contribute to the management and design of the business intelligence and data warehouse environments, including data sources, security, and metadata.
• Consult with business partners and their teams to challenge current processes by asking targeted questions and interpreting ambiguity through deepened knowledge of business function needs and reporting opportunities.
• Unearth insights from large and diverse sets of data to tell compelling stories through dashboards and visualizations, guiding strategic decision-making.
• Ability to self-track and manage projects and tasks in agile tools.
• Continuously improve modeling data for actionable insights and processes improvement.
• Participate in finding and implementing technology solutions and business processes by providing requirements documentation, use cases, subject matter expertise, and design input.

Prerequisite Qualifications –

• Education/Degree Required- Bachelor's Degree at College or University is required.
• Years of Experience Required- Requires minimum (2) two years of experience as a data analyst with proven experience with business intelligence, and data manipulation tools.
• Knowledge/Skills Required- Analytical Skills: Data analysts work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching. You will need to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions.
  
  

Salary Information: In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency law, the annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 (USD). NJII considers factors like, but not limited to, job scope, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions when making offers. This pay range covers base pay only and excludes bonuses or other incentives.

NJII provides a comprehensive package of benefits to their full-time employees which includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with Employer Match, FSA and HSA. We also provide Company Paid Group Term Life Insurance, AD&D and LTD. In addition, we offer a hybrid work model with an expectation for this role to work a minimum of 2 days weekly onsite at our Newark, NJ office.
