Job summary

SGS Consulting seeks a finance professional to partner with Supply Chain Finance leadership, develop performance reports, and drive data-driven insights. You will analyze KPIs, forecast variances, and present actionable recommendations to improve the P&L.

The role involves building models and dashboards using Excel, SQL/Snowflake, and BI tools, with collaboration across corporate and field teams to support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in financial analysis and related fields.
• Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and report on large financial data sets.
• Proven problem-solving using structured analytical frameworks.
• Experience with advanced data mining and BI tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau/Power BI).
• Experience with syndicated data sources (Nielsen, IRI) a plus.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with VP, Director, and Manager of Supply Chain Finance to develop and prepare key performance reports comparing actual results to plan and forecast.
• Analyze KPIs, articulate trends and insights, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare monthly business reviews with clear, actionable analysis and recommendations.
• Drive a data-driven approach to identify variances between actual results and forecast.
• Source data from primary and secondary systems and maintain databases.
• Build financial models, dashboards, and BI tools to evaluate complex scenarios.
• Quantify financial and operational impacts to the P&L.
• Act as a finance business partner to the Distribution organization at corporate and field levels.
• Provide analytical support for ad hoc requests and special projects.
• Identify opportunities to provide analytical solutions that support business objectives.
• Support process improvements focused on efficiency, automation, and data management.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and data management.
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
• Follow through on issues and deliver timely financial insights.

Job Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Performance Analysis Partner with the Vice President, Director, and Manager of Supply Chain Finance tdevelop and prepare key performance reports comparing actual results tplan and forecast
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), articulate trends and insights, and identify risks and opportunities
• Prepare monthly business reviews with clear, actionable analysis and recommendations
• Data Analysis & Modeling Drive a data driven, analytical approach tidentifying variances between actual results and planned or forecasted performance
• Source data from primary and secondary systems and create, maintain, and enhance multifaceted databases
• Build financial models, dashboards, and business intelligence tools tevaluate complex scenarios and strategic initiatives
• Quantify financial and operational impacts tthe P&L
• Business Partnership & Decision Support Act as a finance business partner tthe Distribution organization at both corporate and field levels
• Provide analytical support for ad hoc requests, special projects, and value added improvement initiatives
• Proactively identify opportunities tprovide analytical solutions that support business objectives
• Process Improvement & Efficiency Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on people efficiency, process effectiveness, automation, and technical tool utilization

Skills

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis, data analysis, financial modeling, finance, accounting, or a related field Retail or CPG industry experience preferred
• Technical & Analytical Skills Strong ability tanalyze, interpret, and report on large financial data sets
• Proven problem solving skills using structured analytical frameworks
• Advanced data mining and analytical tool experience, including:Excel (advanced)SQL / Snowflake or similar analytical data warehousesTableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence toolsOracle or similar ERP systemsEssbase experience preferred
• Experience working with syndicated data sources (e.g., Nielsen, IRI) a plus
