Job summary

Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) is seeking a Data Analyst to sustain IEM360 by collecting, organizing, and maintaining enterprise data. The analyst ensures data integrity for tracking performance, identifying trends, and supporting decision‑making.

The role involves collaboration with Continuous Improvement & Manufacturing leadership for timely data capture. Responsibilities include data input, basic reporting, trend analysis, and ensuring data accuracy across ERP systems and production

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field as listed.
  • Minimum of 2 years in operational excellence, analytics, or related environment.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights for leaders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Infor preferred) and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and input operational data into databases or spreadsheets with accuracy.
  • Support lean initiatives through data management and performance analysis.
  • Maintain and update operation logs and databases with current information.
  • Provide up-to-date data on production performance and work orders for decisions.
  • Generate basic reports and summaries for diverse teams and management.
  • Identify trends or inconsistencies affecting operations and recommend actions.
  • Collaborate with leads to ensure timely, accurate data reporting.

Job Summary

The Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the sustainment of the IEM Business System (IEM360) through collecting, organizing, and maintaining enterprise data.

This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of data used for tracking performance, identifying trends, and supporting decision‑making. The Data Analyst works closely with Continuous Improvement & Manufacturing leadership to ensure data is recorded in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and input operational data into databases or spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives through data management including cycle times studies, line balancing, machine performance, material usage, downtime, and product output.
  • Maintain and update operation logs, records, and databases with the most current information.
  • Assist operations by providing up to date data on production performance, maintenance logs, machine status, and work orders.
  • Generate basic reports and summaries for a variety of teams, supervisors, and management to support daily operational decisions.
  • Assist in the analysis of data to identify trends, patterns, or inconsistencies that could negatively impact operations.
  • Work with leads and supervisors to ensure all data is captured accurately and reported in a timely manner.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations and actions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence leaders through data storytelling.
  • Help maintain data integrity by identifying and correcting any errors in the data collection process.
  • Perform data entry and reporting tasks using ERP systems, production software, or Microsoft Excel.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Operations Management, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical or business field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operational excellence, business analytics, engineering, or a related environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Strong data management and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to translate data into clear recommendations and communicate insights effectively to employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Infor preferred), business data systems, and reporting or visualization tools.
  • Experience with SQL, data manipulation, database structures, and business intelligence tools is considered an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean tools and methodologies such as Kaizen, standard work, visual management, value stream/process mapping, root-cause analysis, daily management, and structured problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, prioritize responsibilities, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence without direct authority.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and helping establish structure, standards, and repeatable processes.
  • Results-oriented with a strong bias for action, follow-through, and accountability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Microsoft Excel.
