Job summary

SafeRide Health is seeking a Data Analyst to own encounter operations for Medicaid and Medicare Advantage clients. You will work across data, healthcare operations, and client service to turn complex requirements into actionable outcomes.

Role involves managing end-to-end encounter workflows, collaborating with clients, business teams, and engineers to ensure delivery and high-quality data insights. Remote-friendly with flexible hours and healthcare benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience using SQL to support business and data operations.
• Experience with data analysis using Excel, Tableau, QuickSight or similar tools.
• Structured problem-solving and process-management experience; Six Sigma, Scrum, or Kanban certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own encounter operations and workflow for 6–8 Medicaid/Medicare MA clients.
• Generate 837 encounter files and submit to client destinations (SFTP) and track responses.
• Triage and coordinate remediation of rejections with engineering and internal teams.
• Report ongoing performance and SLA metrics and translate data into business decisions.

About The Role

SafeRide Health is seeking a Data Analyst with a high degree of ownership, customer focus, and follow-through to own encounter operations and stakeholder management for a portfolio of Medicaid and Medicare Advantage clients.

This role sits at the intersection of data, healthcare operations, and client service - working with clients and internal teams to turn complex requirements and encounter data into clear action.

You'll manage the end-to-end encounter workflow for approximately 6-8 clients, gather requirements, and serve as the bridge between clients, business teams, and engineers to ensure effective collaboration and delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder and client-management skills across technical and nontechnical audiences
• Experience using SQL for supporting various Business and Data Operations.
• Demonstrated data-analysis skills using Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, or comparable tools
• Structured problem-solving and process-management experience; Six Sigma, Scrum, or Kanban certification preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management experience - ability to own a multi-step operational workflow, investigate issues, and drive through resolution
• Healthcare, Medicaid, encounters, EDI, or related payer/health-plan experience
• Experience with 837 encounter files, SFTP workflows, response files, or rejection management

What Success Looks Like

• Own encounter-management responsibilities for approximately 6-8 clients
• Generate 837 healthcare encounter files, submit files to client destinations (typically SFTP), and track response files
• Triage and coordinate remediation of rejections with engineering and internal teams
