Job summary

American Power & Gas LLC is seeking a Data Analyst to join our on-site analytics team in a full-time permanent role. You will develop measurement frameworks, build dashboards, and provide performance insights to marketing, sales, and leadership.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data workflows, design lead scoring models, and deliver timely reports. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in data analytics and strong Power BI, SQL, and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• University degree or college graduate in Business, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Social Sciences, or equivalent hands-on experience in Marketing Analytics.
• 1 to 3 years of experience working with data, reporting and analysis in a quantitative business environment – experience in Sales and Marketing organizations strongly preferred.
• Experience using data visualization tools like Power BI, Looker, Tableau, to report on KPIs and facilitate communication of trends and insights.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; very comfortable with pivot tables, calculated metrics, conditional logic, and VLOOKUP functions.
• Solid understanding of database structure and functionality, including schema design, join keys, deduplication approaches, and aggregation techniques, with the ability to write and execute SQL queries.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Must be able to resolve issues tied to capturing and processing data promptly and have the ‘spidey-senses’ to proactively feel when something is off in the data.
• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to distill overall objectives into actionable steps.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt language as needed to suit stakeholder audience and present data-driven recommendations.
• Capable of effectively managing projects, priorities, timelines, and working relationships.
• Intellectual curiosity to succeed in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, fast-paced, sales-driven organizational culture.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with Power BI and data analytics.
• Understand core business challenges and develop relevant measurement frameworks that outline definitions of success.
• Routinely represent the Analytics department in cross-functional status and reporting meetings.
• Provide regular performance trends reporting, forecasts, and insights for marketing and sales team leaders and senior executives.
• Partner with internal cross-functional teams to identify business needs and analytics opportunities, developing tools and techniques to analyze and provide performance-improving recommendations.
• Establish a data-driven framework for designing and implementing a lead distribution strategy to maximize sales results.
• Develop predictive models and pro formas for leadership to proactively manage the business and anticipate issues.
• Partner with Operations to optimize data workflows from sourcing to reporting to maximize value-added and time-efficiency.
• Develop, enhance, and manage analytical solutions in support of business objectives.
• Determine what data is needed and how to consume/store it to support reporting needs and ad hoc analysis.
• Regularly analyze data across marketing channels and customer journey including website analytics, call center activity, and CRM systems.
• Ensure deliverables meet timelines and adapt communication to stakeholder audiences.
