Job summary

Charleston County EMS is seeking a Data Analyst - EMS to ensure data quality, produce high-quality reporting, and support EMS leadership with analysis for ongoing improvement. This on-site role is based in North Charleston, SC.

You will audit, analyze, and present information from multiple systems to deliver timely, accurate reports for leadership and stakeholders, helping drive process improvements across the public safety organization.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred with emphasis in Business Administration or Analytics.
• Two (2) years or more of data analysis experience; experience in a public safety agency preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, SQL, and/or other data analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Access and use data from a variety of software programs and sources to create meaningful, professional reports for EMS leadership to support decision making and process or system improvement.
• Integrate information across key systems, including CAD, Electronic Patient Care Reports (ePCR), Workforce Scheduling and Timekeeping (UKG), Fleet Management and Telematics, Financial and Budget systems, Logistics and Inventory (OpIQ), Safety Records, GIS, and Billing systems.
• Combine data analysis with an understanding of Public Safety Directorate business processes to deliver reporting that is timely, accurate, and reliable.
• Support EMS Leadership in ensuring data integrity by auditing and analyzing data used to recommend ongoing process improvement activities.
• Create reports for EMS Departmental Leadership and other assigned audiences.

As a Data Analyst - EMS on-site in North Charleston, SC, you will help ensure the quality of departmental data, produce high-quality reporting, and support EMS leadership with analysis used for ongoing improvement efforts.

Compensation and benefits

$27 - $35 per hour (USD), with on-site work in North Charleston, SC.
