Job summary

The Blackstone Group L.P. is seeking a Data Analyst, Associate for its Private Equity Technology team in New York. You will build analytical tools to support deal diligence, portfolio analysis, and workflow automation, partnering with technologists and product managers to deliver high-value solutions.

You will drive data governance, implement scalable analytics, and contribute to the firm’s data platform. Strong Python/SQL skills and BI experience are essential in this role.

Qualifications

  • 3 years in a data analysis or data science role, with fluency in Python and SQL for interacting with data and data warehouses.
  • Experience in a technology team within a financial firm, with a preference for asset management/real estate.
  • Advanced analytical skills including data modeling and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with data governance, data quality, and data integration best practices.
  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Sigma and Tableau.
  • Strong communication skills for working with business and technical teams and documenting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead intake and refinement of technology and data requests related to deal tracking, portfolio monitoring, and workflows.
  • Conduct business analysis and stakeholder sessions to drive efficient modeling and portfolio management.
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and UX designers across teams.
  • Develop and maintain analytical software using Python and SQL with a focus on quality, scalability, and security.
  • Manage data lifecycles for AI and analytics workflows with proper access controls and licensing.

Your responsibilities will encompass creating solutions for recurring deal diligence and automations to streamline the review and analysis of the current portfolio. **Responsibilities**: * Lead intake and refinement of technology and data asks related to deal tracking, portfolio monitoring, and other workflows. Proactively identify opportunities for better tooling, automation, or data flows that increase adoption and reduce manual work.* Conduct business analysis and stakeholder sessions with various teams across the firm, focusing on our Private Equity business to drive efficient modeling, asset and portfolio management, and other workflows. This will also involve coordinating with a broader technology organization comprising product owners, application developers, and UX designers.* Partner with global and regional teams to document best practices and processes.
