Job summary

TricorBraun Inc is seeking an entry-level Data Governance Specialist to independently apply item data governance standards, manage and validate product data, and create accurate item records. You will prioritize information requests and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure data quality.

The role offers opportunities to learn ERP and PIM systems and support data-related projects. You will contribute to data accuracy across catalogs and internal systems while supporting inventory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 0-2 years of experience in product data management, data analysis, or related systems preferred.
• Experience with large data sets and MS Office preferred.
• Exposure to Power BI, D365 ERP or PIM systems is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Independently apply Item Data Governance standards to item records and escalate policy questions.

• Create and maintain item records ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Prioritize and process product information requests, resolving incomplete or conflicting data.
• Learn and become proficient in ERP and PIM systems.
• Serve as a primary contact for data requests, coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support inventory lifecycle activities with item status updates and data maintenance.
• Evaluate product documentation and attributes to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. 1. Independently apply Item Data Governance standards to assigned item records and identify when data exceptions or policy questions require escalation
2. 2. Manage the collection, organization, validation, and maintenance of product and item data within company systems
3. 3. Create and maintain item records while helping ensure data accuracy and completeness
4. 4. Independently prioritize and process product information requests, using judgment to resolve incomplete, inconsistent, or conflicting data
5. 5. Learn and become proficient in ERP and PIM systems
6. 6. Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned product data requests, coordinating directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders
7. 7. Support inventory lifecycle activities by assisting with item status updates and data maintenance
8. 8. Evaluate product documentation, and item attributes to determine whether item data is complete and accurate
9. 9. Help maintain product information standards for internal and external catalogs
10. 10. Support internal customer requests and departmental projects
11. 11. Analyze recurring data issues or discrepancies, recommend resolution steps, and elevate complex exceptions as
12. 12. Make recommendations to improve data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across systems
13. 13. Identify process gaps or recurring data-quality issues and propose corrective actions appropriate
14. 14. Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

1. 1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
2. 2. 0-2 years of experience in product data management, data analysis, product information management, supply chain, or related business systems experience preferred
3. 3. Experience working with large data sets and Microsoft Office applications preferred
4. 4. Exposure to Power BI, D365 ERP or PIM systems is a plus but not required
