Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a senior Data Analyst 3 in Seattle, hybrid work, to own data delivery and insights for Distribution Center and warehouse operations.

You will govern data, ensure pipeline integrity, and partner with DC leadership to drive reliable reporting and measurable improvements across inbound, outbound, inventory and labor. You will mentor analysts, design scalable data solutions, and contribute to a migration toward centralized, self-service analytics.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required (Masters preferred).
  • 5+ years of data management and data analysis experience; capable of mentoring juniors.
  • Desire to move beyond descriptive reporting to diagnostic/prescriptive analysis.
  • Strong understanding of ETL, data management, and data pipeline development.
  • Experience with SQL, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and BigQuery.
  • Experience extracting/manipulating large datasets from Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Proficiency with Tableau, Looker, or IBM Cognos for visualization.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis and Looker development.
  • Supply chain/retail domain knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as an insight partner to DC and Supply Chain leadership, translating data into diagnosis and action.
  • Own data governance and integrity across WMS and downstream pipelines.
  • Lead design and delivery of SCI reporting programs and BI migrations.
  • Collaborate with data engineering to ensure upstream data quality and consistency.
  • Shift focus from validation to hypothesis testing, trend diagnosis, and forward-looking recommendations.
  • Develop new metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement of Nordstrom's supply chain.
